24-Inch Cable: Is It the Right Length?

Measure the actual routed cable path from the flow cell pH port to the controller's pH input before ordering. The 24-inch version is appropriate when that distance is 18 to 22 inches with service slack. For longer runs, use the 10-foot version. Never splice or extend the cable.

What calibration buffers do I need?

Use fresh, unexpired NIST-traceable pH 7.0 and 4.0 buffer solutions. Expired buffers are a common cause of calibration error. After calibration, verify the controller's displayed pH against a handheld photometric test kit; agreement within 0.1 to 0.2 pH units is acceptable.

How should I store the probe during seasonal shutdown?

Store in a manufacturer-recommended probe storage solution or pH 4.0 buffer in a sealed cap. Never store dry, and never store in distilled or deionized water.

Should I replace the ORP probe at the same time?
