The SQ166R rapidly heats and cools your pool in freezing or scorching weather

AquaCal IceBreaker heat pumps boast an innovative DEFROST mode to efficiently heat your pool even in freezing temperatures. The SQ166R monitors ambient temperatures by design- so when the weather dips below freezing, the unit is ready to respond automatically. If the sensors detect ice crystals on the evaporator coil, it will activate DEFROST mode. When DEFROST mode is triggered, the refrigerant flow temporarily changes direction; hot gas from the compressor is sent to thaw the coil.  This process only takes a few minutes.

The R-410A refrigerant used in the HeatWave SuperQuiet SQ166R is a superior lubricant, reducing wear and a tear on the machinery.

R-410A function smoothly at high pressure, facilitating efficient heat transfer in your heat pump, even in frigid or scorching ambient temperatures. This means you can rapidly heat or cool your pool in without waiting for hours.

The SQ166R Heat Pump carries an efficiency rating of 560% (not a typo). 

The highest possible Coefficient of Performance rating is about 7.0, which represents a unit that is 700% efficient. For every $1 you pay to power the IceBreaker SQ166R heat/cool pump, it produces $5.60 in heating output.
